Container Drayage, Trucking & Intermodal Delivery Freight Services
For over three decades, Southwest Freight has been the go-to solution for handling drayage requirements at Houston’s marine terminals and railways. Our expertise extends to import and export transportation, as well as container haulage services for various types of containers such as flat-racks, open tops, standard and high cube containers. Our fully equipped container freight station and customs bonded facility enable us to handle overweight containers efficiently, including drayage, transloading, and timely delivery to their final destination.
Project Cargo Transport Services
In addition to standard freight services, we offer specialized project cargo transportation services. Handling oversized and heavy pieces such as pipes, pumps, and storage tanks is a regular part of our operations. We provide a range of specialized equipment including tri-axles, flat racks, and open tops to cater to the unique needs of project cargoes. Our expansive storage yard, coupled with our versatile trucking fleet, allows us to offer customized service packages tailored to your cargo requirements and budget constraints.
Intermodal Drayage Agreements
Southwest Freight maintains interchange agreements for intermodal drayage with major railroads like UPRR and BNSF, as well as all steamship lines operating at the Houston Port terminals. We ensure seamless transportation between different modes of transit, facilitating smooth cargo movement.
Customs Bonded
Southwest Freight is customs bonded, allowing uninterrupted movement of containers or freight from rail or terminal to our facility, even during clearance or other bonded warehouse procedures. Our bonded intermodal drayage and transport services extend to our alternate warehouses in New Orleans and San Antonio
